The Chocolattés Story

We are the Wilson’s, born and raised in Greendale, Wisconsin. Both of us have always been entrepreneurs at heart. In Wisconsin, we ran an entertainment business bringing an energetic style of music, dancing, and fun to weddings, schools, and corporate events. In the winter we would travel to Fort Myers to enjoy the beautiful weather. We would always seek out SW Florida’s local offerings but found it difficult to find a good cup of coffee. After a few years of research and getting our feet wet in the coffee business up north we sold everything and moved to Fort Myers in 2003 with the desire to bring locally crafted coffee to the area. We stumbled on an opportunity to be a coffee vendor within Lee Health Systems. This connection met our desire to support our community not only in spirit but also financially. We grew that business to its full potential. Fourteen years and two beautiful daughters later, we decided to take the next step and roast our own product – bean to cup. In November 2018, we opened Chocolattés Coffee & Roasting - our first brick and mortar – and we now roast our coffee in-house while our guests can watch and use all their senses to experience great coffee. In 2021, we opened ‘The Backyard’, an intimate venue showcasing professional live entertainment for regulars, locals, and visitors to enjoy!

Our Cuisine

is fresh, simple, and can be enjoyed from breakfast to dinner. Our food menu consists of handmade bagels, toasts, oats, crepes, flatbreads, nachos, bowls, and more.

Our Coffee

is designed to educate. Not everyone knows how each drink is prepared and the fancy terms that describe it. We use graphics and descriptions to help every consumer understand what they are ordering and encourage them to try new things. We also understand that not everyone drinks coffee so we have a delicious list of offerings for the tea enthusiast, smoothie snob or chocolate lover.

Our Passion

for coffee and community fuels our desire to do things right and create an atmosphere for our guests that reflects our passion and desire to make a positive difference in their day. The design of our store has been described as “coastal-rustic”. The idea behind the design was to create a home away from home to relax, work, meet and mingle. Whether you grab a seat at the communal table, at the coffee bar or hightop by the window we hope that you feel the drive behind our mission which is to serve the best cup of coffee with the best service whether you are local or visiting.
