Located in a biological conservation corridor, Valle del Cauca lies between Tatama National Park and Serrania de los Paraguas. Farmers in this region are strongly aware of the importance of the preservation of natural resources, water management and friendly environmental practices. The region is a prominent producer of coffee as well as sugarcane. This coffee is decaffeinated using the sugarcane process, an organic process utilizing compounds from sugarcane to remove the caffeine from coffee beans, while leaving a pleasant, sweet favor.
